Important

This page is a general warranty and service framework. It does not extend, replace or reduce a project-specific written warranty. If a signed quotation, contract, warranty certificate, supplier document or service agreement says something different, that specific written term should be followed for that project.

How to read these terms

Every lift project is different. Equipment, installation scope, warranty period, maintenance duties and supplier conditions can change from one project to another.

For that reason, this page does not publish one fixed warranty period, one maintenance schedule or one service-response promise for every lift.

01

Scope of these terms

General conditions for warranty, maintenance and service work.

These terms apply as a general framework for lift or elevator equipment, installation work, maintenance and after-sales services supplied under an applicable Dhaka Lift Solutions project document.

They do not by themselves create a warranty for equipment or work that is not included in the applicable project scope.

A project-specific warranty or service obligation exists only to the extent stated in the relevant accepted or signed documents.

02

Which documents control?

Specific written project terms take priority over general website wording.

Warranty and service conditions should be read together with the documents issued for the actual project.

Signed agreement Any signed contract, amendment or special condition for the project.
Accepted quotation The accepted commercial and technical scope, including exclusions where stated.
Warranty document The applicable warranty certificate or written warranty conditions.
Supplier terms Manufacturer or supplier warranty conditions where they are expressly applicable to the project.
Service agreement The agreed maintenance, inspection or service scope where a separate arrangement exists.

If two documents conflict, the specific signed project document should be checked before relying on this webpage.

03

Warranty coverage

Coverage is project-specific, not universal.

The applicable warranty document should state the warranty period, covered equipment or work, start date, conditions and any remedy available for a covered issue.

This webpage does not promise that every component, failure, repair, service visit or replacement part is covered.

Warranty coverage should be confirmed against the actual project records before repair or replacement work is treated as warranty work.

04

Warranty exclusions

The applicable warranty document defines what is not covered.

Do not assume that a fault is covered simply because it occurs during a warranty period. The cause of the fault, the affected component and the written warranty conditions may all need to be reviewed.

The applicable project documents may contain exclusions relating to matters outside the agreed supply or service scope, including external building conditions, electrical conditions, unauthorized intervention, misuse, accidental damage, normal wear or other causes identified in those documents.

The exact exclusion should always be checked against the written warranty for the project.

05

Maintenance terms

Maintenance frequency and scope depend on the agreed service arrangement.

A maintenance arrangement should identify what equipment is covered, what routine work is included, the agreed visit schedule and any work that requires separate approval.

A general website statement does not create a fixed maintenance frequency for every lift.

The appropriate inspection and maintenance work also depends on the installed equipment and its actual condition.

For a commercial overview of maintenance support, see the lift maintenance page.

06

Making a warranty or service request

Clear project information helps the technical review start correctly.

A service request should identify the lift or project and explain the issue as clearly as practical.

Useful information to provide

STEP 01 Identify the project Share the building or project reference and location.
STEP 02 Describe the issue Explain what happened and any visible symptom or display message.
STEP 03 Share safe evidence Provide clear photos or documents where they can be obtained safely.
STEP 04 Check coverage The issue can then be compared with the applicable warranty or service scope.
07

Site access and customer cooperation

Service work requires safe and reasonable access to the lift and relevant areas.

Unless a project document says otherwise, the building owner, customer or authorized site representative should provide reasonable access needed to inspect or service the equipment.

Work may need to be delayed or rescheduled where access is not available, the area is unsafe, required building support is not ready, or another condition prevents the agreed work from being carried out safely.

08

Replacement parts and component compatibility

A replacement part must be suitable for the installed system.

Elevator controllers, drives, door equipment, electrical components and other parts are not automatically interchangeable.

Part identification may require model information, equipment records, electrical data, photographs or a technical inspection.

Parts availability, price, lead time and warranty status should be confirmed for the specific item before an order or replacement is approved.

09

Work outside warranty or service scope

Non-covered work may require separate commercial approval.

A service visit does not automatically mean that all resulting labour, parts or additional work are free of charge.

If an issue falls outside the applicable warranty or maintenance scope, the required work may be treated as a separate repair or service item.

Any separate price, parts requirement or additional work should be confirmed through the applicable quotation or approval process before proceeding where practical.

10

Safety and unauthorized work

Elevator equipment should not be opened or altered by unqualified persons.

If a lift appears unsafe or develops a serious fault, use should stop where appropriate and the issue should be referred to a competent technical service provider.

Do not enter a lift shaft or open electrical/control equipment to investigate a fault yourself.

Keep users away from exposed or unsafe equipment and provide the service team with the information that can be obtained safely.

11

Response and service timing

No universal attendance or repair time is created by this webpage.

Service timing can depend on the agreed service level, site access, fault type, technician availability, required parts and other project conditions.

A specific response time, attendance time or repair deadline is binding only where it has been agreed in the applicable written service or project document.

12

Applicable contracts and legal rights

These general terms must be read with applicable Bangladesh law and the signed project documents.

Nothing on this webpage is intended to remove a right or obligation that cannot lawfully be excluded.

Any contractual liability, remedy, limitation, indemnity, dispute term or governing-law clause should be determined from the applicable signed contract and relevant law, not inferred from general marketing content on the website.

13

Relationship with other website pages

Commercial support pages and contractual terms serve different purposes.

The Warranty & After-Sales Support page explains support in a commercial and practical format. This page deals with the general terms that apply to warranty and service conditions.

Product, service or marketing pages should not be read as creating a warranty period, free-service promise, response time or other contractual obligation unless that promise is also included in the applicable project document.

General website-use conditions are available in the Terms & Conditions, while limitations on general website information are addressed in the Disclaimer.

14

Changes to these general terms

Website terms may be updated, but signed project commitments remain separate.

Dhaka Lift Solutions may update the general information on this page when business processes, documentation or legal requirements change.

An update to this webpage does not by itself rewrite a signed project agreement or warranty document. Any change to an existing contractual commitment should follow the amendment process applicable to that agreement.

Need to check a project-specific term?

Use the actual project documents before assuming coverage

For a warranty, service or maintenance question, have the quotation, warranty certificate, service agreement and available lift details ready. That makes it easier to check the applicable scope.
